℗ 1986
Concierto de Aranjuez is an album by the German cross-cultural new age band Cusco, released originally in 1986 and currently available from the Prudence label. Unlike most other Cusco albums, this album contains no original music, but is instead electronic versions of famous classical pieces, such as the Moonlight Sonata, and does not contain any drums or other rock music instrumentation. This album is currently available under the Prudence label. The title track Concierto de Aranjuez is featured on early Cusco compilation albums and is in some ways similar to the Apurimac and Ring of the Dolphin title tracks. The Peer Gynt Suite is particularly similar in structure and instrumentation to the Swan Lake / The Nutcracker track on A Choral Christmas. |
