(Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes met while playing as auxiliary musicians in her self named band in the mid-1970's.) The tape was messed up during production of the Age of Plastic LP and Ms. Charles was not available for redubbing at the time. Rachel Fury (fairly well known for her work with Pink Floyd - thanks to Neil Blackwell for this info!) was contacted instead and she performed the vocals for the LP. And you remember the jingles used to go. Oh-a oh You were the first one. Oh-a oh You were the last one. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. In my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone to far Oh-a-aho oh, Oh-a-aho oh Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. In my mind and in my car, we can't rewind we've gone to far. Pictures came and broke your heart, look I'll play my VCR. You are a radio star. You are a radio star. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. Video killed the radio star. (You are a radio star)…
